Prenatal yoga is a safe practice and can have many benefits for pregnant women and babies such as better sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, increased strength and flexibility, and gives women time to cultivate a relationship between their body, breath and baby. In my prenatal classes, I start with deep breathing techniques together with pelvic floor engagement to calm the mind and body. Each class will have a different focus i.e. legs strengthening, hip opening, easing lower back tension, shoulder opening, etc.
